To Die (-cut) for

Hello there!  I'm so excited!  A few people played this week and our winner was Berni!  Thanks to everyone that played.  I'm trying to figure out how to post the entries to our facebook page, but alas, it is technology so I need more than just a little luck.

This week I'd like you to do a layout that uses die-cut papers.  I will consider pages that use actual paper that has been cut with a die-cut machine and not just accents or embellishments made with a Cricut or a Sizzix.  Although those are cute and you can use them, I'm really looking for papers that have been cut.  Many manufacturers make them, but if you have the perfect paper and want to come by the store and have it cut with our machine, please do!  We have several different styles and shapes.

If you'd like the chance to win $5 to the store, then please submit your entry by Monday to jamie.greent@gmail.com.  You can submit any size layout up to three submissions, but you must use a die-cut paper.

happy monday to you.  i hope your weekend was full of sunshine!  today i thought i would get our day started with 3 great DPLOs from one of our customers who came from over 100 miles away and it is always a treat when we get to see her smiling face.  as you can see she is a big Crate Paper fan too...she used several papers above from several CP lines {that you can still find here at GT} and she used the new holiday line from CP "peppermint"  below as well...

as promised...today is the start of a new GT series..."in the LIMELIGHT", also known as our customer spotlight! over the past two weekends {during our NSD retreats} we were able to get hundreds of photos from the amazing ladies scrapping with us. we are so very lucky to have the wonderful and creative customers that we have and want to share their work with all of you out there in the blogosphere...we hope you enjoy!

NSD 2012 recap!!

we wanted to thank all of our fabulous CHICAS that helped make National Scrapbook Day 2012 such a great success!  it really was the best fiesta north of the border and here are some photos to prove it...

both of these groups combined finished hundreds of scrapbook pages finished and in their albums!!! we were able to snap a photo of some of their favorites and will be sharing with you their creativity here on our blog everyday over the next month so check back for some great ideas and inspiration. 

also to our creative crew, Muchas Gracias for all of your help both weekends and for making this event so much fun!!  we could not do it without you!

 

KOW...sweet baby girl.

we hope you all had a wonderful mother's day over the weekend...we had a full house here at GT celebrating our 2nd round of NSD {National Scrapbook Day} with a weekend long retreat and all of those mommies had a wonderful time!!!  our super mom raimi has put together this adorable DPLO featuring a sweet baby girl...i know she has all boys, but she was able to scrap one of her good friends little one this week for you.  you will get your own set of thickers so if you have ballet photos or favorite shots of you sweet little girl this one is for you...pop in and grab yours today!

Drink Up!

I can't believe it's the middle of May already.  Insane!  Kids will be out of school soon and I'll probably need a few more drinks to get through the week.  That, and the awesome time at the NSD Weekend Retreat, had me thinking about scrapping some favorite drinks.  So that's what I'd like you to do this week.  I chose this crazy large daiquiri that I got at Circus Circus (I wish I had some way for you to see how comically big this thing really was), but I could have done this page a million different ways.  Apparently I like to take pictures of drinks.  I had my Starbucks, the kids Sonic Slushees, our St. Patty's Day mint treat or about four different cocktails to choose from.  I wonder if I should bring that up in therapy?

Anyway, I'd like to see you create a page that contains a drink (a picture or a stamp will work), a flower and some journaling.  You have until Monday to email a picture of your layout creation to me to jamie.greent@gmail.com. You may submit up to three entries. I will chose a winner for the $5 store credit and have a new challenge for you on Tuesday.
